Professional-grade appliances not only provide superior functionality and durability but also add a touch of sophistication to your kitchen. Below, Monogram’s silver 36″ Induction Cooktop blends in seamlessly with the grey porcelain countertop.  In addition, the synced burners and precision temperature controls can hold a temperature for a prolonged period of time. Below, the 48″ Dual Fuel Pro Range features 4 burners, a griddle, grill, wi-fi connectivity, and air fry.  Yes, you heard that right – air fry, which means no unsightly air-fryers on the countertop! Layered Lighting

Layered lighting is of utmost importance in a luxury kitchen, as it not only adds to the elegance and ambiance of the space.  It also enhances functionality. A well-designed lighting scheme that includes various layers, such as task, ambient, and accent lighting, can transform a kitchen into a versatile and visually appealing space. Task lighting ensures that specific areas, such as countertops and cooking surfaces, are well-lit.  This provides ample lighting for meal preparation and cooking. Toe kick lighting is installed at the bottom of kitchen cabinets, casting a subtle glow along the floor in our Pasadena kitchen showroom. This not only enhances the kitchen’s overall ambiance but also provides additional visibility during nighttime or low-light situations. Undercounter lighting provides layered lighting in our Pasadena kitchen Showroom In addition to the aesthetic benefits of illuminating fine glassware and collectibles, in-cabinet lighting also makes it more convenient to locate and access items.  This eliminates the need for fumbling around in dimly lit spaces. Ambient lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, making the kitchen a welcoming space for family and guests. Lastly, accent lighting adds a touch of luxury and highlights architectural features or decorative elements, elevating the overall aesthetic of the kitchen. The combination of these layered lighting elements creates a both a beautiful and functional kitchen. Monogram Hearth oven in the Cozy Stylish Chic Pasadena kitchen showroom

The Kitchen Workstation

The workstation sink is an essential component in the luxury kitchen.  It epitomizes convenience and style and is an amenity that every luxury kitchen designer includes. A workstation sink seamlessly combines the functionality of a sink.   Additional features such as cutting boards, colanders, and drying racks, revolutionize the cooking experience. It not only enhances the overall aesthetics of the kitchen but also maximizes efficiency by minimizing the need for multiple tools and storage spaces. In luxury kitchens, the workstation sink becomes a focal point, offering a versatile and practical space for prepping, cleaning, and multitasking. Whether you are a professional chef or a passionate home cook, the workstation sink is one of the amenities that should be included in a luxury kitchen.  They are invaluable and worth the real estate that it occupies in the kitchen.

Custom Cabinet Inserts

Custom cabinetry inserts allow for storage solutions designed to fit your needs perfectly. They maximize space, accommodate various item sizes, and adapt to changing storage requirements. The stand mixer lift eliminates the hassle of moving a heavy mixer. A thoughtful designer plans for an outlet within the cabinet, so you can keep the mixer plugged in. Specialized inserts can enhance the overall aesthetics of your custom cabinetry. These inserts come in elegant materials and finishes, and if it doesn’t exist, any luxury kitchen designer can design and create it using any one of our custom suppliers.  Here’a an example of the spice storage that we created in our showroom.  So not only is the hidden spice storage functional, but it is also a conversation piece and adds a touch of luxury to the space.  Custom cabinet inserts should be included in every luxury kitchen. Architectural Metal Shelving

Nothing adds a touch of elegance to a luxury kitchen like architectural metal shelving.  Available in a variety of finishes and styles, it adds a little bling and a level of sophistication when styled with a variety of items from the kitchen.  It softens the space and gives it some personality so that it doesn’t feel so cold and sterile. A Coffee/Beverage Bar

The coffee or beverage bar has been trending lately, and we know exactly why.  Kitchens are getting larger.  And God forbid we have we to travel across the kitchen to make coffee that early in the morning!  All joking aside, a coffee or beverage bar is a great way to keep grab and go snacks nearby and to keep drinks separate from the food prep area.  That way no one gets in the way going in and out of the fridge to get drinks while meals are being prepared.  Below is what we have installed in our Pasadena kitchen showroom.

A Statement Range Hood

Every luxury kitchen needs to have a focal point and oftentimes we make that the range hood.  The look, styling and finishes of the range hood should be tailored to the architecture of the home and style of the kitchen. Wine Storage

Wine storage is essential in every luxury kitchen. Consider wine storage with dual temperature zones like the Monogram Wine Sommelier, which also features a freezer and convertible drawer (shown on the far right).  On the far left is the Glass Front Fresh Food Refrigerator.  You can install both units being right or left side opening. Butcher Block

Nothing says luxury kitchen like a custom butcher block.  When planning out a kitchen, think of how you can integrate the butcher block into the countertop surface.  Or perhaps there might be another place that you can add a butcher block.  In a recent showhouse, we opted to integrate a butcher block into a porcelain counter top.  But because this was an entertainer’s kitchen, we also put in a second butcher block  – on a mobile cart on wheels. integrated countertop butcher block - luxury kitchen design Butcher block mobile cart in the Pasadena Showcase House luxury kitchen For another project we worked on, we include a running knife slot so that knives could be stored in close proximity of the butcher block. I hope you enjoyed this post outlining what to include in a luxury kitchen.  Should you need more guidance, feel free to visit our luxury kitchen showroom located in Pasadena.  We have fully functioning appliances and all the amenities installed so you can get the full luxury experience.
