Initial Condition:

– Unaltered since the 1950s, originally designed for staff use

– Complete gutting of space due to insufficient storage and outdated design
– Reconfiguration of large exterior wall comprised of doors and windows
– Installation of French doors for symmetry and base cabinetry with windows above
– Addition of architectural metal shelving for extra storage while maintaining natural light

Intended Use:

– Designed for a home chef who entertains both indoors and outdoors on the adjoining patio

– Monogram Appliances featuring Hearth Oven, Wine Sommelier, and Pro Range

Design Highlights:
– Custom crafted range hood from Thompson in matte black and nickel finish
– Architectural metal shelving with glass shelves for storage above, maintaining openness
– Butcher block with integrated running knife slot
– A modern interpretation of a traditional English kitchen

– Hand-planed walnut island with waterproof marine-grade finish and workstation sink
