2016 Pasadena Showcase House

2016 Pasadena Showcase House of the Arts
Overview
It’s my favorite time of the year again and the Pasadena Showcase House of the Arts , now in its 52nd year, will be opening to the public once again this Sunday, for a one month stint from April 17 through May 15. Dryborough Hall, which consists of a 16,000 sq. ft Mission Revival, a 2032 sq. ft. guest house, a horse corral, a pool and spa, and a well-manicured landscape which includes many mature trees, first made its Showcase debut in 1987. This year the public will be able to view the home once again, but 2016 brings an entirely new group of designers and a fresh perspective to this historical 2-acre La Cañada Flintridge home.
20 interior designers and 8 exterior designers, some from the immediate Pasadena area and others from as far as Culver City and Calabasas, were selected to transform the expansive property. Collectively they bring many years of experience and their own unique personality and design aesthetic to the table. The result is an eclectic home in which the participating designers have taken cues from the home’s traditional bones while sharing a common color palette, which maintains a flow within the home.
Of course I don’t want to give it all away, so below is just a taste of what to expect when you visit Dryborough Hall. Keep in mind that the pictures do not do justice to what this talented group of designers has put together, and the home and all the details must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
