NYFW Spring 2015
If you’ve been following New York Fashion Week, (NYFW Spring 2015), there is no doubt that you’ve noticed some of the same trends that I am covering here. New York Fashion Week isn’t over yet, and I’m sure these trends will be popping up again and again before the end of tomorrow, the end of Fashion Week, so keep your eyes peeled.
Gingham
Gingham has definitely had a strong presence on the runway this season, in all sizes, colors, and used in a myriad of silhouettes.
Palm Trees
Move over fiddle leaf fig. Ok, maybe the fiddle leaf fig was more of fixture in interiors rather than fashion, but after this round of shows, the palm tree is sure to take over where the fiddle leaf fig left off.
Romance
Paisleys and ditzy florals in soft, muted, almost-neutral, barely-there color are seen making their way down this season’s runways in soft, sheer fabrics and flowing silhouettes.
Boxy Minimalism
No fuss, boxy silhouettes, where the emphasis is on the premise that “less is more”.
Viva the Gypsetter
A nod to the “Gypset” (Gypsy-Jetset) lifestyle, where the bohemian convention to life is embraced and celebrated.
One more day to go before New York Fashion Week is over and all attention shifts across the pond to London!
