Dwell @ Met Lofts

This evening marked the first of several events I will be attending through this weekend in conjunction with Dwell on Design, the largest consumer driven design event in the US which takes place this weekend.  You may remember my coverage of Met Lofts and 1600 Vine the same time last year, where designers designed and staged eight units between the two locations.  This year, three of the eight designers return to inject their creative vision in three loft suites at  Met Lofts in downtown LA.

Today I am giving you just a quick glimpse of what I will be covering in more detail at a later date, as the key is to whet your appetite and get you to Met Lofts to come  view the suites in person. I wouldn’t want to spoil all the fun for you by giving it all away!  All three suites will be open to the public from June 19-July 19, Monday-Saturday 9AM-6PM and Sunday 10AM-5PM.

If you’re in Los Angeles this weekend, stop by Dwell on Design, which will be taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center. There will be plenty of inspiration for the home and design, with an impressive line up of exhibitors.  I will be presenting Trend Watch: Color and Material Finishes in the Kitchen along with Lou Lenzi, Director of Industrial Design at GE Appliances and Diana Budds, Senior Editor of Dwell on Saturday at 1PM on the GE Monogram Stage, so stop by and say hello!

After your visit to Dwell on Design, stop by for a quick visit to see these three impressive loft suites at Met Lofts, which are located two blocks away at the corner of 11th Street and Flower and across from Staples Center.
