Introducing Warby Parker’s Fall 2013 Collection of Eyewear

Warby Parker Fall 2013
Today, after much anticipation, Warby Parker launched their Fall 2013 collection of eyeglass and sunglass frames.  The collection debuts five new frames in a mix of materials and deep, rich autumnal tones.  As always, the collection has a hip, vintage vibe but with a modern twist.  Definitely my kind of aesthetic. The folks over at Warby Parker are one serious group of academics, as each frame in the fall 2013 collection is named after their favorite literary references – Ames, Holcomb, Rowan, Ripley.  Hmmmm… and I thought Dostoevsky was hard core…

For those of you who have never heard of Warby Parker, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?  Since the company’s launch in 2010, Warby Parker has taken  the eyeglass industry by storm by offering high quality frames, (which by the way are made on the same production lines as many of the high end designer lines with $500 frames) but at a fraction of the cost of the same aforementioned lines.  Warby Parker acetate frames start at $95 and stainless steel for $145.  How is that possible, you ask?  They cut out the middlemen and sell via their own channels – online and via their own Warby Parker showrooms.  In doing so, they pass the savings on to you, the consumer.  If you’re not within close proximity to a Warby Parker showroom, don’t fret, as convenience is what Warby Parker is all about.  On their website is a “virtual try-on”, where you can upload a picture of yourself into their Virtual Try-On tool, which enables you to see what you would look like wearing each pair of glasses.  More of a hand on, touchy/feely shopper?  No problem.  Select 5 frames and Warby Parker will ship them to you free and you have 5 days to try them on and return the ones you don’t want.  Free shipping and free returns, that’s another no brainer.
Do you want to know what I love most about the folks at Warby Parker?  They give back to the community.  For every pair sold, a pair is given to someone in need.  Great product, great prices, and a giving heart.  Warby Parker’s got my support!
And without further ado, here is the Warby Parker Fall 2013 Collection:

It’s about time for me to replace my glasses, and why buy one of the other brands when I can have THREE from Warby Parker and ANOTHER three pairs for those in need? Do the math –  you don’t need to be a Wharton grad to figure out that Warby Parker makes more sense. The Wilkie in Greystone,  Rowan in Graphite Fog, and Ellison in Marbled Sandstone are calling my name…  What’s your favorite?
