This week is Discovery Channel’s much anticipated SHARK WEEK, and to commemorate the occasion, I am bringing you SHAGREEN, shark and stingray leather, which has a rough and granular texture. As reported in my recent recap of High Point Market, shagreen has been trending in the home furnishings market and judging by what I have been seeing, it has yet to slow down.
Currently a third of sharks face extinction, so in the interest of shark conservation, today I present you with a selection of faux shagreen accessories and furniture for the home. The same look, a lower price point, a wider selection of colors, and the world’s oceans remain unaffected.
