My Current Obsession – Colorful Woven Baskets and Accent Furniture from Around the Globe

Lately, I have been seeing  colorful woven baskets and accent furniture from all around the globe pop up everywhere.  From the showrooms at High Point Market to the pages of the latest West Elm catalog, colorful woven baskets and accent furniture are in for 2014 and beyond!  Organic and subtle to wild and saturated, every color under the rainbow is represented, and from all corners of the world.  Fair trade principles and sustainable wages ensure that rural women are able to build healthy communities in the third world countries where these colorful woven baskets  are produced…and we get to beautify our homes.  I’d say that’s a win-win situation!
